Jerry Lorenzo is, and remains, a busy individual. Though the initial layoff between news of his Fear of God x adidas collab and actual product from the collection coming about, releases have come fast and furious throughout this year. As 2024 draws to a close, Lorenzo let loose some notable teasers for what could be coming down the pike in 2025, including a collaboration on the recently-revived adidas Jabbar silhouette.}
Kareem’s model has been pushed in the Three Stripes mainline since around October, so leveraging one of the most notable collaborators in their Rolodex to further that endeavor is a savvy move. The classic construction of the 1980s silhouette is here met with an equally timeless palette, evoking the Stan Smith line with a simple white and green foundation, contrasted well by faux-vintage accenting on the midsole and with cream laces. Speaking of Stan Smith, the homage to the tennis icon (and the tennis icon that bears his name) concludes with a vectorized version of Lorenzo’s face on the tongue.
While the “Made In Italy” sub-head that Lorenzo mentions would simply just indicate country of origin for other brands, there’s no doubt that it connects to adidas’ other “Made In Italy” pairs. Mainstays like the Samba have emerged with that branding throughout 2024 with extremely luxe material makeovers and a price tag to match, meaning that should the Fear of God head’s collaboration come to light, there will almost assuredly be a fittingly premium price tag to go with it.
With Lorenzo only letting loose teaser images, release info for the Fear of God Jabbar High is extremely scant at the moment. In the meantime, you can catch his story images included below — stay tuned to our coverage and our Sneaker Release Dates hub for any additional info.
