Bacon Meets Valentine’s Day On The Nike Air Max 90

Hitting shelves for Spring 2025.

Bacon Meets Valentine’s Day On The Nike Air Max 90

The Nike Valentine’s Day 2025 slate keeps getting richer and richer. While many of the earnest members of that group have emerged wearing cutesy, charmed or otherwise commemorative touches, expect the shelves to be stocked with more toned-down editions as we get into 2025. One such shoe, the Nike AIr Max 90 “Dark Team Red,” merges two otherwise unaffiliated colorway themes.

Yes, the burgundy “Dark Team Red” when combined with the pink hues on the midsole and lower eye-stay, immediately evoke the iconic “Bacon” for us and assuredly for the sneaker public at large. However, those pantones aren’t an exact match for what we recieved in ’02 and ’21. The rosier tint on both of those shades of red make the shoe overall a fuller embrace of a romantic concept. Regardless of what you see in this Rorschach Test of a shoe, maintaining the classic white and grey foundation keeps a classic air alive, bringing OG sensibility in 2025.

Look for this Nike Air Max 90 landing on Nike.com and local outlets as part of Nike’s Spring 2025 slate — a retail price of $130 is expected.
