Textile Overlays Cover Up The Nike Air Force 1 Low

Another unexpected spin on a women's release.

Textile Overlays Cover Up The Nike Air Force 1 Low

These are not your average pair of white Air Force 1s. For 2025, the Swoosh has prepared a women’s exclusive release that builds on the iconic ’82 classic.

Set to release in Spring of the new year, this Air Force 1 Low makes use a various textile overlays in a somewhat randomized placement. On portions of the heel, midfoot, and toeguard is a soft and plush textured material, while a classic sheer lace is applied on the toe-box, Swoosh, and ankle collar. The same light and transparent layer is seen on the tongue.

The arrangement of said materials is hardly uniform; if you look at the heel and medial sides, it’s a bit more randomized as Nike alternates those fabrics. Further adding the effeminate aesthetic is the thick satin ribbon shoelaces.

It’s been a rather unexpected run for the women’s Air Force 1 lately, particularly with a recent “Sea Glass” drop that had been ridiculed for a TPU frame that many likened to biological material (you make the connection).

Regardless, Nike will drop this Air Force 1 in the new year soon; stay tuned for release updates.
