Original article published December 31st, 2024: Barkley is back. There had been fear that after the NBA signed a massive deal with NBC, the Inside The NBA crew on TNT would come to an end, depriving us of Sir Charles’ nightly jokes, analyses, and general quotables. ESPN swooped in and snagged Ernie Kenny, Shaq, and Charles, ensuring that the most entertaining commentary group in sports would be back.

In sneaker news, Barkley is back via his Air Max CB 94. The original colorway returned to the fold in 2020, restocking again in 2023. Due to the sheer popularity of the model, this iconic Nike Basketball shoe is due to release yet again in Summer 2025. It’s unclear if the Black/White/Pure Purple colorway will retain its $160 MSRP.

According to sneakermarketro, a release date is expected for June 30th, 2025; for now, we can take that date with a grain of salt and expect them generally during the Summer season.

In more immediate retro basketball updates, the Black Cat 3s are due out very soon — January 11th to be exact.
