Original article published January 7th, 2025: Prior to the three collaborative releases with London-based streetwear label Cortez, the Air Trainer Huarache hadn’t seen the light of day since mid-2019. That’s quite a gap between circulation, which in today’s retro product strategy is quite a long bit of time.

Luckily for fans of the Tinker Hatfield-designed Huarache series, the Training iteration is set to have its moment again in 2025 as a number of general release colorways are in the works. This first look at a “Blue Tint” colorway skews towards the softer side of things in order to maintain more of a lifestyle aesthetic, but at quick glance, models like these are better suited with that early-90s era vibe.

We’d love to see white leathers and black suedes dotted with hits of neon greens and purples similarly to the Air Huarache running model, but this all-blue styling with Summit White soles should pique the interests of a few.

This new colorway of the Air Trainer Huarache is expected to launch late Spring 2025 with an MSRP of $140; more colorways are certainly in the works, so stay tuned for updates and first looks.
