This ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 Is An Ironclad Winner

ASICS was hands-down one of the trendiest sneaker brands of 2024, and barring any major changes, they’ll be enjoying a similar level of success in 2025. Every one of the Japanese brand’s retro-leaning Sportstyle offerings has been moving like hotcakes, the ubiquitous GEL-Kayano 14 being no small exception.

Even inline Kayano 14’s were difficult to cop at retail not too long ago, but it seems that ASICS has been coming out with more colorways and larger stock numbers to keep up with demand. This “Ironclad” colorway is one of several that can be copped now via the ASICS website, taken with a soothing teal-colored mesh base and “Cloud Grey” suede overlays (as opposed to the standard metallic silver). Brown upper detailing along the quarter builds on the industrial theme, while the titular “Ironclad” color appears on the GEL capsules within a cream-colored midsole.
