Even if the heat around the Air Jordan 1 proper has tumbled in recent years, you simply can’t argue with its appeal as a daily driver. The Air Jordan 1 Mid and Air Jordan 1 Low in particular elucidate that point, offering an accessible price point and a veritable bounty of colorway options. The latest “Metallic Gold” make-up for the Air Jordan 1 Low, however, aims at those who have loftier aspirations.

As per Nike, the guiding light for this design is a middle ground between formal, celebratory aesthetics and everyday wear. At least for our money, that concept is communicated well, blending a jet-black base with the requisite flairs of gold and silver on the branding hits. Accompanying the two metallic shades is a material shift. The Air Jordan 1 Low shifts away from typical leather and instead opting for satin synthetics on its base layer.
