The New Balance 550 Re-Enters In Delicate “Reflection”

Seasonal flair as the silhouette makes its way back to market.

The New Balance 550 Re-Enters In Delicate “Reflection”

Don’t forget about the New Balance 550. While the rise of its siblings, the New Balance 9060 and New Balance 1906R, has suddenly pushed the lifestyle staple down in the Boston brand’s pecking order, its selling point remains true even if its hype has tumbled. Simplistic style is still the name of the game, and as it looks to recapture some of the energy it carried a few years back, the New Balance 550 is doubling down on that theme with a “Reflection” and light green edition.

This sort of tone-on-white look very much harkens back to the model’s not-too-distant heyday, a time when ALD’s own easily-digestible looks towered over inspo albums and grey market listings alike. Refreshing the formula with off-white “Reflection” and novel emerald shades is only right, a sprightly variation that’ll be in season in just a number of weeks. With the silhouette taking the last quarter off, absent from New Balance’s new arrivals section entirely, perhaps it’ll make the heart grow fonder, audiences now more willing to accept the accessible model than in months past.

Expect the New Balance 550 “Reflection” hitting shelves as a part of the brand’s Spring 2025 offerings. Retail is set at $100.
