Using the aforementioned “Great Plains” 9060 as a starting point, New Balance’s next effort features identical hairy suede, mustard yellow overlays. The real intrigue lives on the ancillary elements, where pink and red hits steer the design far away from its predecessor’s contemporary aesthetic. Imposing “True Red” treatments touch up the New Balance logos, tongue branding, and bottom portion of the midsole, while “Twilight Haze” lands gently on the mesh base.
