Springtime colors take center stage.

A Soothing “Barely Green” Gradient Wraps The Nike Shox TL

The Nike Shox TL is continuing its under-the-radar retro run through new colorways. This “Barely Green” gradient look is the latest to surface via official images, currently expected to release Spring 2025.

The overlays and full-length Shox cushioning pillars stealthen up in black, maintaining all focus on the gradient base layer. The “Barely Green” shade appears at the bottom of the base, eventually transitioning into light purple as you approach the tongue, while the vamp portion cleans up in “Photon Dust” mesh.

While Nike Shox fall under the “Y2K” umbrella and therefore share association with modern trends, it’s hard to imagine the running line’s retro propositions becoming mainstream hits again. Consumers are more interested in mesh-heavy runners like the Vomero 5 and styles by New Balance and ASICS, and moreover, many of today’s trendiest running-turned-lifestyle shoes go for about $120 or less (the Shox TL costs $170).

In any case, if you’re a Shox devotee and fan of this “Barely Green” Shox TL, expect a release via nike.com in the near future.
