The New Balance 1000 Takes On A Stealthy “Silver” Combo

Though New Balance pulls models out of the archives with some regularity, the heavy collaborative effort that kicked off the New Balance 1000 in 2024 was a signal that the Boston brand had bigger things planned than just a limited engagement. Whether the chunky shoe can reach the heights of the New Balance 1906R is still TBD, but we remain impressed with the techy colorways that continue to line the shelves, including the “Silver/Black” pair on display.

With multiple similar looks hitting the shelves, the Y2K silo is unsurprisingly carving out “Silver Metallic” as its homebase, joining a host of other models bearing the same design language. Paired with black mesh underlays and a dark grey outsole, it may not be the most eye-catching colorway around, but an easily one worn in exchange; one that should align well if your personal style already aligns with retro footwear.

The New Balance 1000 “Silver/Black” is available now via select global outlets, with a wider NB.com to follow in short order. Watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for further info on this pair’s launch.
