Sneaker News After a relatively quiet debut in late 2024, the New Balance 509 is ready to enter the techy dad-shoe arena. The silhouette is fresh on our radars thanks to Comme des Garcons’ Paris Fashion Week showing earlier in January, but it was actually Dohee Kim of South Korea’s XLIM that brought it into the mix last AW2024 season.
A SMU exclusive release created by the New Balance Asia team, this latest proposition features hairy suede mudguards, breathable mesh uppers in tonal color-blocking, a painted midsoles giving an appearance of aged oxidation. Currently, the shoes are available on the New Balance Taiwan website.
