Andrew Rizzo United Arrows subsidiary Beauty & Youth is next in line for an ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 collaboration. Much like United Arrows’ catalog of work with New Balance, the project stays true to the brand’s design language with a versatile greyscale color palette and emphasis on texture.
While rather unassuming from a distance, a close-up look reveals a unique, patchwork-like mesh pattern across the base layer. A silky sock liner also breaks from norms with a meander pattern, and the laces come in white with black dotted lines. As for some of the larger elements, the overlays alternate between white, matte silver, and shimmery silver treatments. The same core palette bleeds underfoot, where glossy GEL capsules stand as the main highlight.
