The Nike Air Max Plus Gets Gritty In “Dark Smoke Grey”

The Nike Air Max Plus has been a staple of street style for almost three decades, particularly when it comes our friends across the pond in the UK and Australia. If you’re high on “blokecore” and want to buy into the gritty ethos that made TNs legendary, this upcoming “Black/Dark Smoke Grey” colorway is a solid option.

Official images reveal a subtle gradient upper that heightens focus on the chain-link pattern, complemented by textured black leather on the mudguard and heel. The toe cap and wave-inspired overlays appear in glossy black, and the top portion of the tongue introduces black suede. Just barely breaking away from the greyscale theme, the Swoosh logo, tongue branding, and lateral side of the Tuned Air units appear in light blue. As is standard, the design is complete with yellow Air bubbles on the opposite side and matching yellow hits on the heel portion of the outsole.

Look for the “Black/Dark Smoke Grey” Air Max Plus to release via nike.com and retailers soon for $180. Scroll through the official image gallery below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page bookmarked to stay on top of all upcoming Nike shoes.
