Sneaker News A year ago, adidas Basketball officially unveiled the first look at the adidas Dame 9, the ninth signature shoe for multi-time All-Star and NBA 75 inductee Damian Lillard. Officially launching last August in collaboration with BAPE, the Dame 9 has had a strong showing of colorways since–a statement supported by this new “Silver Metallic”.
Channeling that early 2000s aesthetic with the matte silver upper, this latest adidas Dame 9 features a mix of black and lucid blue on the collar and interior, completing a sporty finish accentuated by the sleek design of the signature shoe. Matching the silver is Dame’s emblem on the tongue; beneath the silver upper is a light bone grey rubber outsole. As it turns out, this package is dubbed the “Tecmo Bowl” edition, a nod to the classic 8-bit football game that ran rampant in the 80s and 90s.
It’s possible Dame could sport these during the All-Star Game on Februay 15th, although a PE is more than likely. Regardless, this latest adidas Dame 9 is currently marked for a February 15th, 2025 release on adidas overseas; a US release date has yet to be announced.
