We’ve finally made it. 2025 has been dominated by stories surrounding the Air Jordan 1 “Bred,” AKA “Banned” AKA Air Jordan 1 High ’85. Regardless of what you call it, it has easily stood as the sneaker release of the year so far, and after select retailers chalked off their own launches for the shoe last week, this Friday, February 14th truly marks the end of the journey.
Don’t let yourself get distracted by that shoe alone, though. As All-Star Weekend takes place in the Bay Area, it’s naturally moving brands across the industry to drop commemorative product in accordance. Sticking in Beaverton, the Nike “Black Label” collection marks their most wide-ranging, uniting the likes of LeBron James, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant for the occasion.
The totemic success of Kobe’s enterprise continues as well, notching a tonal special edition with the Kobe 6 “All-Star 2.0,” and a major retro comes off the board with the Nike KD 4 “Scoring Title.” Rounding out the slate, Anthony Edwards’ AE1 Low “Champagne” and NBA Crocs collection crash in for the weekend celebration.
Heading out of Oregon, adidas is pulling from its own history with the reissue of the adidas Ultra Boost OG. Crocs offers up some heat not on the basketball floor with their inaugural NBA collab. Finally, from the other German brand, we get two editions of LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB.04: one a reference to 2022’s “Creativity Pack” and one a continuation of their well-recieved TMNT collaboration.
