Nike is taking the Air Foamposite Pro somewhere it rarely goes: college football. Nearly a year after we first reported that a college-inspired Foam collection was in the works, the Foamposite Pro “FSU” edition has finally surfaced, and the good news is that it looks more like a player exclusive than a typical general release.
The Seminoles influence is unmistakable and runs deep via a deep burgundy red Foamposite shell, contrasted by white Swooshes and a light gum brown outsole. More importantly, the molded upper incorporates a repeating pattern that draws from the visual traditions associated with Florida State and the Seminole identity, adding another layer of school-specific detail beyond the color palette.
The FSU branding on the heel confirms this as a genuine Florida State product, bringing Nike’s relationship with the university directly into the retro hoops line. That distinction helps explain the unusually specific details throughout the shoe, from the patterned upper and “UNCONQUERED” pull-tabs to the Seminoles logo stamped onto each heel.
That makes the release particularly unusual for the Foamposite Pro and Nike Sportswear in general. While school-themed player exclusives have long been part of Nike’s college sports ecosystem, seeing this level of university-specific storytelling on a pair headed to retail makes the “Florida State” feel more like a PE made available to the public than a conventional colorway and sheds light on a potentially larger strategy of bridging decades-old silhouettes to college students.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Florida State” is expected to release during the Holiday 2026 season for $240, with three other college-themed colorways in the works as well.
