Andrew Rizzo Updated March 10th, 2025: CNCPTS has announced official details of their New Balance 1000 “Míle” collaboration ahead of the March 14th launch . The design is inspired by the legendary $1,000 treasury note from 1890 that later sold at auction for $3,290,000. The official moniker “Míle” is the Irish Gaelic word for “thousand”.

CNCPTS creative head Deon Point has logged onto Instagram with yet another collaboration teaser. Following images of an out-of-this-world Nike Air Max 1, Point just shared images of an upcoming CNCPTS x New Balance 1000 project.
Point also shared a screenshot (attached below) that reveals the collaboration is inspired by the “Grand Watermelon” $1000 bill; the rarest and most famous piece of US currency to ever enter circulation. This continues a theme that began with the CNCPTS x New Balance 998 “C-Note” from 2013, which was of course inspired by the $100 bill redesign.
Four different green and white colorways can be spotted in the teaser image, all of which differ in their materials and color ratio. Front and center we have a multi-toned colorway featuring mesh, leather, and suede, bordered by a similar-yet-different style featuring a leather toe box underneath. The left and right sides of the image feature two different white-dominant looks; one favoring mesh and the other coming almost entirely in white leather. Money-inspired “1000” text appears in red on the toe and heel of each colorway, complemented by red CNCPTS x New Balance co-branding on all the tongues.
The official release date is confirmed for March 14th, 2025 for $150.
