Original article published March 9th, 2025: One of the most storied clubs in the world, the German national team is getting a luxe version of the adidas Samba in accordance with a milestone anniversary. With 2025 marking 125 years since their 1900 inception, adidas is penning the Samba “Deutschland” to the club, having stuck with them for 71 years during that span.

The elevated concept here is accomplished with a smattering of neutral tones throughout the profile, “Cloud White” taking up most of the real estate on the upper. Additionally, the usual gum bottom is swapped for a faux-aged counterpart, that time-tested atmosphere of course fitting given the century-plus celebration. ”

Though not officially announced just yet, this does additionally bear some resemblance to the club’s 125-year anniversary kit, floating around the ‘net via some early leaks. The fabric overhaul of the typical leather base layer aligns with the knit ribbing that defines said jersey, and it also carries through the same neutral atmosphere.

Notably, by the time the 127th anniversary rolls around, the German national team will be under the Swoosh instead of the Three Stripes, making this a bittersweet moment in the two German icons’ shared timeline. Regardless of the mixed emotions that may come with them, the adidas Samba “Deutschland” releases on March 17th, retailing for €120.
