The PAN Records x Nike Air Max 180 “NIX” Is Available Now

Updated April 10th, 2025: The black PAN Records x Nike Air Max 180 “NIX” is available now on the label’s Bandcamp site here (€149.99). A Nike SNKRS release date has been set for April 12th.

Berlin-based label PAN Records is an “if you know, you know” sort of imprint, peddling in experimental music and further pushing the boundaries of the avant-garde with various experimental art activations since its 2008 founding. Linking up with an absolute titan in Nike would appear to be a massive jump from those endeavors, but official images of a PAN Records x Nike Air Max 180 link-up just surfaced all the same.

While the shrouded heel cap and graphic layer enveloping the shoe’s lower half stand out as new additions, the silhouette shifts into a more unified profile. To that end, the label replaces the shoe’s body with textured fabric, a shift from the usual layered composition. Of course, the comprehensive all-black color palette makes this much more impactful. That extends to a semi-translucent outsole, revealing a shaky visage of the Greek god Pan, mirrored on the packaging for this shoe and a fitting inclusion on the label’s inaugural Nike collab.

Though we noted in our coverage of the Apron Air Max 180 how that imprint’s members and the Swoosh had been circling each other for a bit, exactly how Beaverton and Berlin collided is a bit more opaque. Regardless of the shared contacts in their rolodex, this marks another instance in which Nike parlays the Air 180’s overseas legacy into a collab with a European record label, possibly showcasing a design theme that’ll play out with additional stops throughout the rest of the year.

Expect the Pan Records x Nike Air Max 180 to release during the Summer 2025 shopping season. Retail is unclear at the time of this writing, though an increase on the model’s usual $150 sticker price isn’t out of the question given some of the premium details.
