Devin Booker Nike Chevy

Original article published April 1st, 2025:

Devin Booker’s love for everything vintage has never been a secret. Amid his rise to superstardom, the only thing that rivaled what he put on the floor was what he had in his garage, a venerable stable of old-school cars, often just as eye-catching for their pristine condition as they were on balance. With the Book 1 continuing to serve as a tentpole of Nike Basketball, Beaverton is helping make his relationship with Chevrolet official, unveiling a three-headed collaboration with Chevy on the Devin Booker signature shoe and the Nike Blazer Low.

Booker’s 1969 Chevy Blazer K5 makes for a harmonious meeting point on the Blazer, combining the heritage Nike shoe and the Chevrolet model in question. The shoe steals the same green tonality from the vehicle, utilizing a classic gum sole underfoot in an abstract interpretation of the Chevy’s neutral trim. Pinning “BOOK” on the heel nods to Nike’s 1970s PE strategy, where often player’s names appeared in that same spot.  Tracing the inspiration for the mustard Book 1 is a bit tougher, but it wears another standout feature loud and proud, pinning the American giant’s bowtie logo on its tongue and the brand’s name on its heel tab (no pages on this release, sadly).

On that note, the peripherals and packaging for this release showcase how this raises above the level of your typical collab. Chevrolet and Devin Booker share a Michigan hometown. That common ground plays out on the box lid, with lines radiating out from the Wolverine state across the globe, speaking to both entities’ global impact. Further, earnest throwback iconography from both Chevrolet and Nike takes over the paper on the interior. Metallic hangtags attached to the Blazer close out the narrative touches, potentially mirrored on other inclusions in this capsule.

The Chevy x Devin Booker x Nike Blazer Low is set to release on April 22nd, retailing for $100. It’s unclear whether the Book 1 or a reported “Surf Blue” colorway will land on that same date, but expect further info as the launch draws closer. Keep an eye on our Sneaker Release Dates page for those updates as they come, but in the meantime, enjoy the in-hand images included below.
