LaMelo Ball Urges His Fans “Be You” With His PUMA MB.04

Reprising a long-standing series.

LaMelo Ball Urges His Fans “Be You” With His PUMA MB.04

Sadly the Charlotte Hornets’ 2024-25 campaign ended as many of the preceding did: on the outside looking in. There are certainly indications to the positive for the Carolina faithful, largely centered around Brandon Miller and franchise cornerstone LaMelo Ball. Even if his squad’s season didn’t play out the way he may have hoped, it’ll take far more to knock LaMelo off his perch as the younger demo’s favorite hooper. And in response for their love and loyalty, the high-octane point guard is dispelling some wisdom with his PUMA MB.04 signature: just “Be You.”

It’s a relevant message no matter when it’s dispensed, but off the bat, note that this continues an overarching series in LaMelo Ball shoes. Since the line began, he’s notched yearly takes, making this “Be You” colorway only a matter of time for those who have been locked in to Ball’s footwear output. What that lineage does present is ample comparison points; the same blend of hi-vis, interstellar shades appears on this edition, chiefly shining through with the galaxy-printed upper underneath the TPU tendrils. In updating the colorway, the MB.04 imbues the neon green and royal purple hues it’s made heavy use of, closing out with a novel “Not From Here” badge on the heel.

The PUMA MB.04 “Be You” is already queued up for an April 11th release via retailers, likely coinciding with the PUMA date. We’ll confirm that here and on our Sneaker Release Dates page as soon as it’s set in stone. Regardless, expect a $140 retail price for adult sizing and the usual $105 MSRP for GS sizing.
