The New Balance 9060 Grows A “Juniper”

Is the New Balance 9060 a true four quadrant shoe? Anecdotal on-feet checks would seemingly confirm that it is, introducing GS sizing after it stamped itself as a bonafide hit with the adult demos. To carry the strained movie allusion for a sentence longer, perhaps the shoe has found valuable IP, as the New Balance 9060 “Juniper” taps into a foundation seen on previous editions.

This pair hits on a concept we’ve on several occasions before, seemingly growing steam in recent months. In broad strokes, it’s a theme where New Balance starts with a neutrally-shaded base before coursing an accent shade through that one-note foundation. For the shoe featured here, it’s obviously the pine “Juniper” tonality, weaving through the silhouette on curvilinear underlays before closing at the heel cup. Those viridescent hits should make this a suitable edition for the warmer months ahead, but the 9060 with its widespread adoption is already a prime candidate no matter what shades it wears.

The New Balance 9060 “Juniper” is available now via NewBalance.com, retailing for $150. Grab yours using the “Where To Buy” links ahead.
