We’re in the thick of the Nike Air Max 95 30th anniversary celebration. Though the first quarter of the year, Beaverton’s plans for the iconic silhouette were largely opaque, but highly notable special releases (Nike SB Air Max 95, Liverpool Air Max 95) and an extremely healthy crop of general release colorways have flooded the web since. Up next, a full family effort with the Nike Air Max 95 “Baltic Blue.”

Though there’s already been an identically titled Air Max 95 of some repute, rather than playing off of the “Neon” arrangement like that pair does, here the Nike team uses the titular cerulean to strike through what’s essentially a “Triple Black” arrangement. The biggest impact comes with the middlemost “wave” on the sidewalls, but contrast embroidery, branding, eye-stays, and Air bubbles make their mark as well. For one final point of intrigue, the “bubble seam” is included for adult pairs (retailer images below) and removed for GS sizing (official Nike shots). It’s an intriguing wrinkle to track chiefly because other kids’ editions have sported the OG specs — perhaps something to look for if you’re particular about the new generation representing OG specs.
