Wale Debuts Nike GT Future In Familiar “Grinch” Colors

The Nike GT Future movmment continues to capture the Swoosh-head community by storm, solely carried on the shoulders of the one and only Wale. Since the silhouette’s surreptitious debut during All-Star 2025, the basketball model has been touted as one of the most anticipated new Nike models in a hot minute, drawing comparisons to various hoops classics such as the Hyperflight and Air Flightposite One.

Since the mid-February world premiere, the GT Future has slowly been filtering out into the public at the hands (or feet) of the DMV-based rapper. Thus far, we’ve seen him rock a “Copper Egg” edition, a bright hot orange version, and a bright electric yellow during his recently dropped single Blanco.

He was most recently captured wearing the a new green colorway by Instagram account @fitsonthestreets; instant comparisons can be drawn to the iconic “Grinch” colorway of the Kobe 6 as well as the “Kryptonate” edition of the Air Foamposite Lite.

The DMV-based rapper doesn’t go too much into the model, although he does note that the shoes are “coming soon”. According to Nike back in February, the GT Future is set to arrive Holiday 2025.

The full video of Wale detailing his outfit and the new footwork can be seen just below.
