Andrew Rizzo With Nike’s annual Mamba Day right around the corner, the peripherals surrounding this year’s key sneaker release are coming closer into view. Alongside the Kobe 8 Protro “What The”, Nike Basketball is touching down with a mini capsule comprised of matching apparel and a standout collectors piece. The only non-clothing item will undoubtedly be the most coveted member of the capsule; a snakeskin-textured basketball decked out in a “What The” pattern. Naturally, Nike Dri-FIT basketball jerseys and shorts are also included. Both garments are reversible, with one side appearing in black and the other livening up in “What The” print. The jersey incorporates both of Kobe’s jersey numbers, appearing with a neon “8” on the front and red “24” on the back.
For off-court activities, there’s also a Therma-FIT hoodie featuring a “What The” Mamba logo, colorful drawstrings, and patterned interior lining. Black, red, and blue Kobe Bryant tees round out the selection, all of which will be available on April 13th via Nike SNKRS alongside the Kobe 8 Protro “What The.” While we are previewing three colors of the t-shirts here, they are currently not listed yet on SNKRS.
