It’s Clear Skies For The Nike Air Max Plus “Aluminum”

Sneakers take inspiration from the wildest of places, but few have been able to monopolize the natural world the way the Air Max Plus has. The skies, as a concept, have been the guiding light for countless “Sunset” and “Sunrise” editions of Sean McDowell’s design, but the latest “Aluminum” look for the Air Max Plus takes more straightforward direction from the great expanse.

What makes the blue sky inspirations all the more clear is the use of solid color mesh on this colorway, an inversion of its usual configuration. Indeed, the TPU waves instead are what displays gradient aesthetics, taken from the titular “Aluminum” tonality at the top to pure white that continues through the mudguard and heel. Though it’s a detail that appears on most editions of the AMP, the sunny Tn branding on the heel makes for a complete picture. “Metallic Silver” hits on the Swoosh and a jer black outsole round out the look, perfectly fit for the warmer climates ahead.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Aluminum” should be hitting shelves as a part of Nike’s Summer 2025 offerings with a $180 sticker price in women’s sizing. Hit our Sneaker Release Dates page for additional updates, and in the meantime, enjoy the suite of official images included below.
