The Nike Air Max Plus Golf “US Open” Is Forged In Beaverton

With the Masters Tournament and PGA Championship in the rear-view, the golf world now has its sights set on the US Open. Nike commemorated the first two majors with special Air Max Plus Golf releases, and now rather expectedly, they’re doing the same ahead of June’s much-anticipated competition.

The 2025 US Open takes place at Oakmont Country Club in the outskirts of Pittsburgh, PA, marking the tenth time the venue has hosted the event (more than any other location). Fittingly, the Air Max Plus Golf nods to the Steel City with a “Metallic Silver/Light Smoke Grey/Photon Dusty” upper. A custom logo featuring an anvil and “Forged For Victory” appears on the tongue/insoles, complemented by “Nike Forged Beaverton OR.” on the heel. Rounding out the delivery, a “Bright Crimson/Safety Orange” gradient appears on the Swoosh border, insoles, midfoot plate, and spike-less golf outsole.

Pittsburgh’s history in steel manufacturing is the obvious reference, but digging a bit further, the design might also tie in with Nike’s home base. Seamus Golf, located less then 15 minutes away from the Nike WHQ in Beaverton, OR, generally comes out the hand-forged ball markers for the US Open every year.

The Nike Air Max Plus Golf “US Open” is scheduled to release June 12th via nike.com; budget for a $215 retail price if you’re considering buying.
