Salehe Bembury remains a busy, busy man. We figured that the ongoing clash between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers would give us a first look at the Tyrese Haliburton shoes, but even if we have to wait for that end of the designer’s catalog, he’s still hard at work in other facets. In comes the Salehe Bembury New Balance 1000, two colorways surfacing via his semi-regular Q+A series on social media.
While his eccentric color palettes are on display with both pairs, the rightmost here is easily the more vibrant of the two, utilizing golden shaggy suede and lavender iridescent overlays that showcase a shadowy interpretation of his fingerprint trademark. Swap over to the right side for further creativity; crackled leather overlays in light blue and a swatch of neon green mesh contrast earthier treatments elsewhere, including a forest green midsole and chocolatey material at the heel. A paracord braid and checkered patterning on the inner bootie further demonstrates how Salehe Bembury shifts the New Balance 1000 construction, a very notable development considering how the model has relied on traditional builds to this point.
With these shots providing our very first indication of this project, release information is understandably scant at the time of this writing. Generally, fans should expect the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1000 to touch down sometime in the Fall 2025 season. We’ll keep this article and our Sneaker Release Dates hub current with any additional info as it comes about. Check out the teaser in full resolution below.
