As part of her latest capsule collection with the Three Stripes, Wales Bonner is set to launch a luxe interpretation of the same slip-on commonly found in dorm showers. It’s got hand-woven leather, an all-new outsole, and a whopping $350 price tag to boot, making it one of the most expensive pieces of Wales Bonner adidas footwear to date.
Wales Bonner’s SS25 capsule marries classic athleticism with top-tier craftsmanship, once again using her Afro-Atlantic heritage as a key reference. To start, the adidas Adilette slide features a hand-crafted leather upper woven in Brazil. Moving down, we have a premium leather footbed as well as embossed Wales Bonner branding on the lateral sidewall. A new tire-like rubber outsole completes the delivery, included as a tribute to African communities where repurposing old tires has long been in practice.
Two colorways of the Wales Bonner adidas Adilette slide will be available; one in “Wonder White” with “Night Indigo” stripes and one in “Night Brown” with “Wonder White” stripes. At $350 a pop, the slides are tied with the upcoming adidas Karintha as the most costly Wales Bonner x adidas footwear item yet.
Both Wales Bonner adidas Adilette slides release May 28th at 10:00 EDT via the adidas CONFIRMED app. Again, pricing is set at $350 per pair.
