With a release date for the “Stillwater Blue” colorway now set for June 12th, the New Balance 2000 is continuing to surface in more rollout colorways for Summer/Fall 2025. Several upcoming options were spotted on the streets of Sao Paolo the other month, and for our purposes, a clean “Grey/Blue” do-up just emerged via official images.
To the uninitiated; the New Balance 2000 is a new lifestyle model inspired by the forward-thinking (and now nostalgic) design language of the Y2K era. ABZORB SBS pods are utilized as the primary cushioning package, offering a modern twist on an older yet still viable NB running innovation. Models like the 2002R, 1906R, 9060, and recently-introduced New Balance 2010 feature the same tech, but none make it a focal point to the extent the 2000 does. Segmented, droplet-shaped ABZORB SBS pods pods are utilized within the midsole, offering comfort and intrigue all the same. Continuing to flush out a bulbous aesthetic, a series of curved synthetic placements wrap a sleek, no-sew upper. This upcoming colorway keeps it fairly simple; metallic grey overlays complement a white base, while the ABZORB SBS pods immediately catch the eye in blue.
The New Balance 2000 “Grey/Blue” doesn’t have a release date yet, but pairs should hit newbalance.com during the Fall 2025 shopping season (between July-September). The model retails for $170 and will be available in both men’s and women’s sizing. See official images below if you’re moved to cop.
