Any SNKRS Preview is always filled to the brim with news, tipping off some of the upcoming season’s most anticipated retro (and Retro, for that matter) drops. In one of the most recent, the Nike Air Max Waffle stood among the most unexpected reveals, dropping off a select number of colorways to close 2024 that harkened to its two parent model’s most iconic looks.

However, as the silhouette has inched back into the consciousness as we pass the midpoint of 2025, Beaverton designers are seemingly beginning to treat the shoe as a cohesive whole rather than a sum of its parts. A two-pack in “Sprinter Green” and “Bright Ceramic” proved early indications of precisely that, but the simplified look at hand and its “Navy/Silver” counterpart continue that aesthetic choice.

Whiting out much of the real estate on this edition allows for the 70s and 90s compositions to blend easier, while Nike tops off that aesthetic arrangement with some suitable accent shades: jet black cutting through on the Swoosh, always-reliable “Sail” in the rear midsole, and gum anchoring the whole thing underfoot.

As the below images would indicate, the Nike Air Max Waffle in “Sail/Gum” has started populating EMEA retailers, with a stateside launch expected in the near future. Prepare for a $145 retail price upon arrival.
