Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Unveils Converse SHAI 001 “Trophy Gold” After Winning NBA Finals

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put the cherry on top of one of the best personal NBA seasons ever last night, becoming just the fourth player to win the scoring title, regular season MVP, and Finals MVP awards in the same year (Kareem, Shaq, and MJ are the others). In a fitting display of Shai’s greatness and first ring, the Canadian-born star wore “Trophy Gold” around his neck when hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Putting an exclamation mark on an already strong pre-release tour, the Converse SHAI 001 is here presented in glossy metallic gold from heel-to-toe. Given all the aforementioned accomplishments Shai checked off this year, Converse can’t possibly imagine better conditions for the release of the first SGA shoe. The SHAI 001 was unveiled in the “Butter” colorway during All-Star Weekend and has been worn by Shai in several colorways since, including “Masi Blue” during Game 7 against Indiana.

SGA’s “Trophy Gold” SHAI 001 is likely a PE reserved for his award case, but we’ll update this article if/when any new updates hit the ‘net. Currently, the model is expected to debut during the Fall 2025 shopping season for $130.
