SoleFly’s Flamingo-Themed Air Jordan 3 “Lotto” Sample Appears

Miami’s SoleFly stamped its place in the upper echelon of the footwear hierarchy well over a decade ago, creating an unforgettable Air Jordan 3 inspired by the Florida Lotto jackpot. Although never actually releasing to the public, the SoleFly Jordan 3s became one of the most sought-after pairs among collectors for its South Floridian spin, arriving at a time when Miami was ruling the shoe scene.

An unreleased sample of their Air Jordan 3 “Lotto” has appeared, revealing a drastically different concept and aesthetic that would’ve sent SoleFly in a different trajectory. Seemingly inspired by the flamingo bird native to the area, this AJ3 features a strong, lenticular upper that sees a blast of pink and white that changes colors depending the angle of view. In addition to the bold upper, SoleFly added a super-vibrant red at the toe section of the midsole and a matching interior lining and heel plate. Gone is the elephant print at the toe and heel as well, allowing the shoe to establish even more distance from the original Air Jordan 3 design. SoleFly chose to go with a far more subtler route, opting for a clean-cut color-blocking to match the Florida Lotto stubs with hits of dark green, yellow, bright orange, and pink.

Indeed, SoleFly is expected to launch another Air Jordan 3 collaboration later this year, based on our initial reports late last year. First looks at that design have not yet been revealed, so stay tuned.
