Aston Villa Sets Off Their Own adidas Samba

Football can never been removed from the DNA of the adidas Samba, but homages to some of the world’s most famous clubs has been an initiative that’s gained real stream in the past two years. As the indoor icon has peaked in popularity, the Three Stripes have poured out dedicated collaborative colorways to a host of their foremost sponsees, ticking off another legendary one with the adidas Samba “Aston Villa.”

Notably, some of those team-centric editions have been rather creative in their applications, venturing out from simple team coloring. Typically, those more adventurous interpretations comes as clubs check off their second, third, or further releases. Being Aston Villa’s first time in the hot seat, these remain rather conservative, spinning trademark burgundy and sky blue onto the Three Stripes and suede T-toe. While the white leather base and gum sole that Samba fans will easily recognize remains in place, the Aston Villa lion does nudge out the usual adidas stamp on the tongue, the proudest embrace of the team’s crest on this shoe.

The adidas Samba “Aston Villa” is available now via adidas.com, clocking in with a $110 retail price. Grab yours using the “Where To Buy” links below.
