The Nike Air Max 90 Drift Does Its Best “Neon” Impression

Touching down this winter.

The Nike Air Max 90 Drift Does Its Best “Neon” Impression

For those looking for some durability in their kicks, look no further than Nike’s mecha-inspired Drift series of Air Max transformations. The Air Max 90 edition made its grand debut last Fall, but it’s back in 2025 with some fresh new options that call back to a true icon of a color story.

In case you didn’t know, the Air Max 90 Drift takes the classic running silhouette and adds some serious armor via leather, rip-stop nylons, and rubber extensions for a build that’s built to last. The shoes are all about utility via the pull-tabs at the tongue and heel to provide assistance in entry, while the reflective hits add that much-needed visibility for night-time travails.

Here the modernized silhouette channels the familiar grey/black/volt colorway tied to the Air Max 95 OG. Like its genesis, the bright punch of green is seldom uses, appearing only on the logo on the heel plate, the AIR MAX badging on the upper, and visible Air infrastructure.

These are penciled in for a Fall/Winter ’25 release; see the first look images ahead and stay tuned for more updates.
