Andrew Rizzo The wire between New Balance and Courir has been hot as of late, with the French retailer unpacking exclusive colorways of some of the Boston brand’s trendiest tech runners in recent months. Following two New Balance 2002R colorways and a flashy pink 1906R, the latter model’s utilitarian sibling comes in as the subject of this latest release.
Official retailer images reveal grey leather overlays atop a black mesh base; a tried-and-true design formula we’ve seen time and again from the New England sneaker giant. There’s a comparison to be made to the recent “Pink Taffy” 1906R, with hot pink accents cropping up around the N-lock logo and ABZORB SBS cushioning. We’re also hit with some subtle light green hits on the “NB” heel text, “1906U” on the lateral side, and insoles.
