The Militaristic New Balance 1906W Goes Into Stealth Mode

Coming soon for $155.

The Militaristic New Balance 1906W Goes Into Stealth Mode

Given the recent arrival of all-new models like the New Balance 204L, 2000, and 2010, it’s no wonder why the New Balance 1906W has flown under the radar since debuting earlier this year. The latest addition to the Boston brand’s trending 1906 series has released in only a handful of colorways thus far, now presented in simple “Black Cement/Castlerock” makeup for Fall 2025.

The New Balance 1906W features New Balance’s patented Fantomfit technology, which was used notably on a sneaker created for the US Department of Defense back in 2018. Not far off from that model’s quintessential black colorway, this 1906W goes into stealth mode with “Black Cement” mesh and a grey “Castlerock” gradient across the Fantomfit structure. The cage is meant to contain the foot without adding much weight, but given the 1906’s new identity as a lifestyle sneaker, its presence here is more aesthetic than anything.

The New Balance 1906R “Black Cement/Castlerock” should hit newbalance.com soon for $155; see official images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more upcoming New Balance.

Sticking with the brand at hand, check out the upcoming New Balance 204L “Pastel Pack.”
