The New Balance 1906W Indulges On Timeless “Bred”

A combo that's hard to fumble.

The New Balance 1906W Indulges On Timeless “Bred”

Its peers in the catalog may have more energy surrounding them at the moment, but the New Balance 1906R has genuinely become a load-bearing piece of the Boston brand’s catalog. That goes for its standard arrangement and its range of offshoots, be they the transformative, formal-inspired 1906L or simpler tweaks like the 1906U.

The New Balance 1906W is far younger in terms of time on the shelf relative to those aforementioned silhouette, but it’s not hard to see how the model could become a mainstay as the months tick on. Capitalizing on a sleek profile with a synthetic Stability Web in place of traditional leather overlays, it’s a more understated counterpart to the parent model. Hitting the right chords in terms of colorways is all it really needs to break containment, and for our money, the New Balance 1906W “Bred” delivers; uniting much of its real estate in jet black and offering just enough contrast with bright red outlines on the sidewalls and in the ABZORB pods.

Already appearing on select retail calendars, the New Balance 1906W “Bred” is expected to touch down sometime in the coming weeks. Be ready for a $155 retail price.
