Andrew Rizzo adidas has been pushing the Superstar heavily in recent months, but what about its predecessor? Despite being an adidas.com mainstay and crucial part of the brand’s hardwood legacy, the adidas Pro Model (aka the high-top Superstar) isn’t a shoe that makes headlines often. Collaborations and standout GRs seem to be the only releases that warrant sneakerheads’ attention, the latter of which includes this fresh “Core Black/Lime Burst” colorway.
A “Core Black” leather foundation is livened up by “Lime Burst” on the stripes, tongue, lining, and backtab, but the sneaker’s real point of intrigue lives underfoot. The outsole fades from purple/pink to “Lime Burst” to “Pure Teal” from the top-down for some incognito flair.
