Exclusive Look At Salehe Bembury’s New Balance 1000

Is Salehe Bembury the most decorated designer in sneakers? The NYC native lent his hand to a number of brands, consistently leaving them in a better state than they were at before. His work with New Balance brought in a much needed energy clash to the brand, immeasurably opening new doors to a new and younger demographic of shoe-heads who see New Balance as more fad-shoe than dad-shoe.

Fresh off the launch of his New Balance 1000 “Fog Be the Cloud”, a second iteration of this project is in the works for a release later this year. Sneaker News has an exclusive look at this upcoming collaboration which ushers in the sky-focused scene just before night-time. A mix of purples, pinks, and blues adorn the upper beneath the transparent N logo, while a light grey suede toe acts as a balance for the color-blasted pop. Beneath is a bright citrus yellow above a kelly green outsole bottom, completing the aesthetic of a ethereal yet Earthly skyscape.

Beyond Salehe teasing this second pair on his Instagram just weeks ago, there’s not much else known regarding the release. However, Sneaker News can confirm a launch on Bembury’s beaspunge.com and New Balance in the future for $170. Stay tuned for more updates.
