Intriguing, to say the least.

Ja Morant’s Reported Nike Air Force 1 Collaboration Surfaces… Without His Logo?

For the Ja 3, Nike quite literally put the design in the point guard’s hands; the spray paint motif that cropped up on many of the silhouette’s debut looks was crafted in-person by Morant at Nike HQ. With one of many self-crafted social media previews earlier this year, the Grizzly confirmed that his design touch wouldn’t stop with just his own shoe. The reported SKU of one of those Ja Morant x Nike Air Force 1 releases now loads the shoe at hand, but there’s some intriguing details that make the story a bit more convoluted.

To begin, this does align with two of the Uptowns that Morant himself teased earlier in the year, crucially sharing the oversized rope laces that you see on the one featured here. Where this shoe breaks from its sample predecessors is in personal Ja branding; his monogram dotted the upper of a white/gum and peeked through side scratches on a denim version, suddenly absent on this public release. Additionally, the stamp on this shoe is heralds the NY v. NY tournament; an event already months in the rear-view at the time of this writing. We will note that the Ja 3 already paid homage to NY v. NY closer to its actual start, potentially just making this shoe a run-off of that effort.

All things considered, it would appear that this bears Ja Morant’s talents even if it’s devoid of his personal branding. Keep this page close by for any additional updates as we look towards a public release of this pair.
