We’re just a week removed from the start of autumn, which means it’s nearly time to phase into your cold-weather rotation. Nike has already braced for the cooler months with a slew of upcoming rugged options, and now it appears New Balance is following suit. Here we have a black colorway of the trending New Balance 9060 featuring ultra-durable Cordura material, expected on shelves for Fall/Winter.
There’s not really much to discuss from a colorway standpoint; the design is as straightforward as can be with a black upper, grey midsole, and reflective New Balance logos. A series of rugged, winter-minded texture swaps is the main point of appeal, led by durable Cordura mesh at the heart of the upper. Tumbled black leather underlays add depth, while the toe cap and other lower panels are cut from black suede à la the New Balance 9060 “Black Cat” – a pair that has routinely sold out. Cordura material has graced several other New Balance lifestyle silhouettes in recent seasons, including the New Balance 1000, 1906R, and 2002R to name a few. All of those sneakers have come in packs, so we’re expecting at least a few more Cordura 9060s to hit the ‘net before long.
The New Balance 9060 Cordura “Black/Grey” releases Fall/Winter 2025, likely priced slightly higher than the model’s standard $150 retail.
