Matt Varga Among many overtures toward fashionable women in 2025, the Nike Air Max Muse has easily been in the conversation for the most visible, a fixture of SNKRS previews at the start of the year and a constant presence on the newswire in the time since. Though its in-line efforts have been notable on their own merits, the collaborative side has also paid dividends, enlisting celebrity stylist, jewelry designer, and overall it girl Veneda Carter for the silhouette’s first two link-ups. Now, Beaverton is looking to the earnest high-fashion world for its next trick, tabbing KNWLS for the Nike Air Max Muse Ballet.
Even if it bears the full Air Max Muse name, you’ll immediately clock that only about 50% of the original design sticks around for this fashion-minded reimagining. Namely, the segmented sole platform—chunky at the heel and slim at the toe—is unchanged. The upper is almost entirely unrecognizable, imbuing the ballet air with a hollowed-out midline and a pointed toe. In a cute touch, the tongue does stick around but chops off more than half of its volume as it pushes toward the very front of the design. The TPU pointed toe cap and ridged sidewalls both carry glossy finishes, especially effective in the black patent colorway shown here. To round out the offerings, a trendy beige and a feminine pink/red accompany their nocturnal counterpart.
Though we’re treated to a comprehensive set of official images of each of its colorways, the KNWLS x Nike Air Max Muse Ballet doesn’t currently have a concrete release date. What we do know is that each pair will carry a $210 MSRP, expected to arrive sometime in the Holiday 2025 window.
