Under the leadership of creative director Teddy Santis, the New Balance Made in USA program for Fall/Winter 2025 is arguably one of the brand’s strongest since the Aimé Leon Dore founder took the helm. As we look forward to the earnest start of autumn, Season 8 is progressing with a wonderfully earthy New Balance 990v6 duo on October 30th, including a “Dark Camo” colorway and, for our purposes, a compelling “Driftwood” edition.
The Made in USA model here swaps out premium suede in favor of premium nubuck on the mudguard and eyestay — a choice quite befitting of the seasons ahead. Leather underlays take on an olive-tinged khaki green shade, paired with off-white mesh and an off-white reflective New Balance logo to match. The midsole, meanwhile, breaks from the model’s usual white/grey/black formula by adopting the same earthy tones used throughout the upper.
The New Balance 990v6 “Driftwood” releases October 30th for $200 via newbalance.com and select retailers. See detailed images below before making your purchase decision.
