Nike Advances The Dunk Low Alpha Menace Cleat With “Iowa” Colors

Basketball players have had an easy time turning heads on the hardwood — after all, a large chunk of the most attention-grabbing shoes you’ll spot on sidewalks came from hoops in the first place. In the 2020s, the Swoosh has started to cater to their gridiron counterparts, offering up internally crafted cleat versions of their most iconic styles and allowing football players at all levels to skip over the premium necessary to get their favorites customized.

While kicks like Deion Sanders’ shoes or the ultra-limited Kobe 6 “Grinch” cleats are the headliners in this regard, more accessible models have made that casual-to-pro jump alongside. Arguably the most notable of recent entrants is the Nike Dunk Low, offering up a special edition gold-on-black pair with color-changing detailing for our first glimpse.

The train isn’t stopping with just one shoe, as the Nike Dunk Low Alpha Menace “Iowa” proudly stamps, harkening to the totemic “Be True To Your School” campaign for a High-to-Low adaptation of the ineffable “Iowa.” As its title would indicate, the sock-like foot entrance and Alpha Menace platform graft from the performance model to Peter Moore’s design, but the classic Dunk look still shines through in the upper.

The Nike Dunk Low Alpha Menace “Iowa” is expected out for the Holiday 2025 season, but retail pricing evades us for the moment. We’ll keep this page and our Sneaker Release Dates current with the latest info as it surfaces.
