The Nike Shox NZ Continues Its Resurgence With Another OG-Minded Look

It feels like Nike won’t stop until every Shox model ever is pulled from the brand’s archives for a modern run. What began with an increased focus on the Shox R4 and Shox TL is now starting to look like a full-fledged trip back to the Y2K era — including returns for the Shox Ride 2, Total 90 Shox Magia, and even Vince Carter’s Shox BB4 in 2026.

One of the most recent models to begin a modern revival is the Shox NZ, originally released in the early 2000s as the most lightweight and streamlined silhouette in the Shox series. Three OG-minded styles hit the ’net earlier this month, and now revisiting that well once more, we have another nostalgic look set to release for Holiday 2025.

A quick Google search reveals a handful of old eBay listings for this specific arrangement — a familiar one in the realm of Nike running sneakers. Sharing a palette comparable to the Air Max 95 “Neon,” the Shox NZ here features a “Wolf Grey” leather base, “Dark Grey” side paneling, and “Volt” hits on the insoles, tongue, and other branded elements. The Shox columns at the heel appear with a metallic silver finish, followed by a black outsole underfoot.

The Nike Shox NZ “Dark Grey/Wolf Grey/Volt” is due out soon via nike.com in men’s sizes. The model retails for $135, making it the most affordable Shox currently available by a decent margin. See official images below if you’re considering copping.
