The New Balance 1000 Gives “Motorsports” Vibes In Black And Blue

The New Balance 1000 is stepping into Q4 with a slew of new styles well-suited for the seasons ahead, including a Cordura collection and several standalone releases that bring their own kind of autumn/winter appeal.

Here we have a clean, straightforward style featuring black leather, grey mesh, and royal blue outlining on the tongue and sides. It’s hard not to be reminded of the Jordan 4 “Motorsports Alternate” from 2017 — even if the ’80s basketball shoe and Y2K-era runner couldn’t be more different design-wise. The New Balance 1000 has become one of the Boston brand’s most sought-after silhouettes since returning at the top of 2024, sliding seamlessly into a market already hungry for Y2K0-era running aesthetics.

If interested, expect the New Balance 1000 “Black/Blue” to release via newbalance.com and select retailers before the end of the year for $150. We’ll post from the @sneakernews X account once pairs become available.

In related news, the New Balance 204L continues to surface in fresh colorways.
