AU launch on 11/5, global to follow on 11/14.

Finesse Plucks A “Desert Rose” On Their ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16 Collab

We’re still quite early into the ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16 retro story, but the Japanese giant hasn’t wasted any time putting their full weight behind the silhouette. They started with a rather unprecedented play, uniting seven of their A-tier stockists on the co-designed “Tomo” for an early collaboration. From there, the brand now flips the script, granting an imprint their first bite at the ASICS apple with the Finesse x GEL-Cumulus 16 “Desert Rose.”

Self-billed as “Australia’s premier women’s sneaker destination,” Finesse doubles down on that with their inaugural ASICS link-up, evident with flowing styling in its initial promo. The shoe itself takes a rather literal interpretation of its “Desert Rose” theme, coated primarily in sandy tones with a lacey mesh base in tan and anchoring in brown, delivered with the lace unit, platform, and Tiger logo on the sidewalls. To provide the more delicate side of the equation, the aglets, ASICS logos on the tongue, and double-sided lace locks add pink tonality. In arguably the most creative touch here, a molded “Desert Rose” carabiner closes out this design.

The raffle for the Finesse ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16 is now open via the brand’s site, with entries closing on November 5th. A wider launch is expected to follow on November 14th — retail is set at 167 AUD or equivalent.
