adidas Isn’t Done With The Anthony Edwards 1 Yet

The Three Stripes finally fulfilled the wishes of the sneaker public with the reveal and release of the adidas Anthony Edwards 2, satisfying those who had been calling for months to get their hands on the long-awaited second shoe under Anthony Edwards’ name. While that contingent is now sated, those who still hold onto the Anthony Edwards 1 as a vaunted design are unexpectedly also in focus — the Anthony Edwards 1 “Ascent” is soon to make its market debut.

First revealed all the way back in April 2024, initial reactions to this pair tied it back to Ye’s MX series, unquestionably carrying some resemblance to West’s marbled output across his vast catalog. The concept would later paint the debut edition of the adidas AE 1 Low, given the “Ascent” moniker at that juncture. All told, despite the psychedelic patterning, this shoe is relatively easy to break down, utilizing the ever-present fabric bootie and bolstering its rosier hues with a pink toe cap and Three Stripes hit at the rear.

If any in our stateside readership have had this shoe circled since we first showcased it, unfortunately, we’ve got some bad news. The adidas Anthony Edwards 1 “Pink Ascent” is, in fact, releasing, but only in Asian markets. If you’ll have access to those channels, look forward to an October 26th release and the equivalent of a $120 sticker price.
